Audio

How do I listen to the voiceover of a Quality Value Investing post?

Text-to-speech lets you listen to QVI posts in the Substack app in just two steps.

Note: Text-to-speech is available in most QVI posts but not older ones that predate Substack’s audio option rollout.

1. Open the post in the Substack App and tap on the play icon at the top right of your screen of the published articles.

2. The audio will automatically start playing in the app player.

Tips for text-to-speech:

  • Like a podcast episode or voiceover, the audio will play in the background unless you tap to pause or fully exit/fully close the app, i.e., remove it from your device’s menu of open apps.

  • If a Substack doesn’t have text-to-speech available or on some older posts, you may see a message about how the post doesn’t have audio when you tap the play icon.

Tip: Text-to-speech is only available on the Substack App and for posts written in English.

Founding and Premium subscribers can listen to all available free and paid posts. Free subscribers can listen only to posts whose full text is public.

Let me know your thoughts on the chosen professional voice. Until I clone my voice in an AI app, this is the best way to avoid the prohibitive cost and time of recording each article in a studio.
