QVI Update for Week of August 18, 2025
Quality Value Investing will be on pause next week. Here's why, plus how to access the top QVI archives in the meantime.
‘Health’ comes before ‘wealth’ in the dictionary. Real life isn’t much different. No matter our financial situation, if an issue can be fixed with money, it’s probably not a serious problem. If an issue can’t be solved with money, then we likely face a significant problem.
My wife will be coming home this weekend after a successful open-heart aortic valve replacement surgery. She is doing well; however, she faces an intensive recovery and rehabilitation period.
Regarding the quote from my books at the top of this email, her unfortunate chronic health conditions—Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) and its numerous complications—are not caused by lifestyle choices that can be cured, but are due to unlucky, irreversible genetics.
To support her during a successful at-home recovery following her latest T1D complication, I am pausing research and writing activities for the week of August 18, 2025.
In the meantime, feel free to explore Quality Value Investing’s extensive archives of research, analysis, new and updated book chapters, and alpha-achieving stock picks on the QVI website.

A premium newsletter that provides more than just freebies
Free subscriber access is restricted to previews of research and narratives, with no access to the market-beating QVI Real-Time Stock Picks.
Founding (lifetime) and Premium (annual) subscribers receive full access to all text and audio content.
Suppose a free subscriber doesn’t find value in the article previews. In that case, they should consider upgrading to a lifetime or annual subscription to get the most out of QVI’s wealth-building experience, or they can lighten their inbox by unsubscribing.
Whatever you choose, remember to prioritize health over wealth, since we apparently can’t take material possessions with us to any promised land.
See you again the week of August 25.
Best regards,
~David
